Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO)

Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), popularly referred to as "PTI", is an airport west of Greensboro, serving Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem as well as the entire Piedmont Triad region in North Carolina.

The airport is part of a 4,000-acre campus which is also home to more than 50 companies that infuse millions of dollars into the local economy. The current passenger terminal facility began operations in the last quarter of 1982 and have undergone several renovations and expansions. Its airfield facilities include three runways. PTI is owned and operated by the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority. The airport's operations are not funded by local taxes.

Allegiant, American Airlines/American Eagle, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, United and US Airways are the airlines serving PTI.

Passenger Services

PTI wants to make your time at the airport as convenient as possible. If you are travelling for business, conference rooms by the baggage claim area can be booked for meetings. 

While you're waiting for your flight, stop in for burgers, sandwiches and lighter fare in the main terminal. The food court includes sports bars, Pizza Hut and Dunkin Donuts. If you forgot your toothbrush or just need something to read on the plane, PTI's gift shops are stocked with items that make your trip more convenient including books, convenience items and souvenirs.


Rental cars, hotel and motel shuttles and taxis are available.


If you are staying overnight, be sure to stop by customer service and they will refer you to a nearby hotel of your preference.
